I should tell you that my T shirts are almost ready. I've got the prototype up, but I don't like the logo. I'm going to do the real logo today. How can I get a copy of Your Book?
No, it really is my book...argh. It is distributed in the USA by the Chicago University Press. And you can order it on amazon.com or at your local bookstore. Mad, isn't it?! Keep me informed about the t-shirts! So excited about 'em!
AAAAA!! I just looked it up and it's there on amazon! That's so exciting, I mean, I don't technically know you but i'm so buzzed! Questions: If I were to buy it could I expect more of the witty humour and awe struck beauty that I have come to expect here? Novel or non-fiction? And finally, why no backlighting on the cover? Oh and one more I keep forgetting: Is it pronounced the british sounding way, PLOOV ee alis, or the canadian sounding way, PLOOVEE Allis?
Um, it's non-fiction; a cultural history of falcons through the ages. Doesn't that sound pretentious! But there's some humour there, I hope, and (best of all) LOTS of cool pictures. I tried to get a picture of me in a bikini on the cover, holding a huge gyrfalcon in one hand and a snow goose it'd caught in the other, all backlit by the headlights of a ferrari, but for some reason the publishers didn't want to know...hehe. As for the Latin, it's a dead language; pronounce it however you want! :)
