I can't comment on anyone else's blogs, now. Not unless they too have 'migrated' to Beta. They're very apologetic about this at Blogger Beta. Not that this makes it any better. I'm sorry, and I hope they fix it soon.
Try starting a new Blog account, NOT in beta, with an explanation of who you are (i.e. Pluvialis) and a link on the profile - if that's possible - through to the new Beta blog. Then use the non-beta account to comment on non-beta blogs and the beta account to comment on beta blogs, both in the name Pluvialis.
