Cough. Cambridge is full of foul and pestilential vapours, and pluvialis seems uniquely subsceptible to them. And oh, it's been so busy here. Sorry fretmarketeers; I've been away a long time. I've been sick. I managed to get to my College's advent service, and read the Annunciation, wobbling, candlelit, at the lectern, without coughing once—a miracle! But it was a close thing, and I may have infected the entire congregation with my miserable cold germs. I do so hope not. Some of them are really rather old.
I've tweaked the template and posted a recipe, and promise to write more in the days to come. Your good health, everyone...

let me know, everyone, if this format doesn't work on your computer. I changed it because the old template worked badly in Blogger Beta: line-spacing would switch from single to double for no good reason in a post, and it was driving me crazy. But better to have poor line-spacing than illegible type....pip pip px
Works fine. Glad to see you back! Lamb is on my shopping list. I have eaten it in Ka'Stan but didn't have the recipe!
Aaargh! It still won't let me print more than one page (of the recipe post). This was also a problem in the last format, which I solved by leaving Firefox and going to Internet Explorer. Trouble with I E WAS THAT IT PRINTED OUT ENTIRELY IN CAPS. I hate that!
Computers make me crazy sometimes. Over to IE where I will report further...
OK, weirder than ever-- it prints normally, not in caps, in Explorer. But it won't let me comment there!
I've got the new format up okay. It's getting along with my mac! I liked the look of the old blog the best but this is good too- it's easy on the eyes. At least you're still writing!!
so you're sick too? My husband's been trying for a week to cure his bad cold with alcohol. I'll get back to you on his progress...
