TENORI-ON

Courtesy of a link from my brother: Toshio Iwai demonstrating this unbelievably cool new instrument/musical interface, the TENORI-ON.

He says, also: you need to watch this video for a while before it really kicks off. Is amazing.

Hugely cool - Electroplankton was a tough act to follow, but it looks like Iwai pulled it off. See also the monome 40h project (http://monome.org/40h/).

Monome! Gmonome! I wish I had a DS to play electroplankton. Also, I wish that Nintendo had got Nicole Kidman to play electroplankton rather than brain-training games in those deeply, deeply creepy adverts: voila:
